“Consider it pure joy, my brother’s, when you encounter trials of many kind, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4 allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.. “(James 1:2-4)
“He’s so crushed.. I just don’t know what to do,” she said.
“… I just focus on what I am supposed to do personally at the moment for God, that’s all I can do,” she answered.
Multiple conversations I’ve had this week. Women deep in the trenches. God tests his children. We don’t talk about it. We constantly talk about what devil has been doing in our lives, but what about TESTS from God? (I’m not saying that these specific ones are from God..but what about them?)
We see the way ABRAHAM was tested by God. He was asked to sacrifice Isaac. We see Job being tested by Satan. (these tests were allowed by God) We see David pray in the Psalms to be tested, “Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind.” (Psalm 26:2)
The word TEST in the Bible translates to “prove by trial.” What TRIAL are you going through right, now? Switch your mindset. If you knew it was a test that was being used to grow, strengthen, and change you.. how would you approach it differently?
I knew you’d say that: You’d prove your faith REAL. You’d hold onto hope. You’d show your strength in God. Hey in whatever test you’re going through today: let’s declare that we are MORE than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:37) If it’s a test or not, think of it as one, switch your mindset, we all want to ACE the tests we take and most of us don’t realize the truth: we’ve already won.
