“And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but the power of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:4-5)
Gods wisdom does not need fancy words, beautiful captions, or wise sayings to capture the heart of man.We can spend so much time drafting social media posts, getting our images right, and wondering if it resonates with anyone… when God gives us a clear answer in scripture.
Here’s the truth: Paul was concerned with one thing and one thing only while he was preaching the gospel: “For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified”(1 Corinthians 2:2)
He wasn’t concerned about whether his text was #tweet-able. When we wrap our identity too closely in anything, then we begin to get discouraged at the outcome and immediately think it has to do with us. I’m not smart enough, witty enough, or eloquent enough to capture the heart of man.. but HE is. The Holy Spirit is in charge of resonating with each persons heart.
