Ya feeling like I am feeling?
I find myself discouraged a lot. Whether it is in business, in life, or in thing’s I am pursuing. Many times I feel like things aren’t matching the expectations I had for them, or I am not able to pursue what I feel designed to pursue. You know what I mean?
I read a quote recently that put life back into perspective again:
‘I think many of us are just not on Jesus’s “agenda page”’ what we dream of and hope for is not the same as what he promised us and works by zealous grace to deliver us” -Paul David Tripp
How often do we get off of Jesus’s agenda page and start pursuing our own agenda’s. I am not saying that we stop doing everything we do unto the Lord. Instead, I am saying we forget what TRULY matters in the light of his Kingdom work.
What if. What if instead of pursuing our own agenda, we valued what God values above all else. We might end up less frustrated.
Here is Jesus’s “Agenda Page”:
-This world is not our, “home” instead eternity is (how often do we get caught up in the frivolous making’s and managing of our home without keeping this temporary perspective in mind)
-That more would come to know him (how often do we forget that people are the goal, and love is the vehicle) (2 Peter 3:9)
-That the Kingdom would come (how often do we forget that God is working NOW to restore his Kingdom and you and I get to be a part of this work)
-That we would be sanctified through knowing him-continuing to become more like him (Slowly but surely his grace is changing you and I)
-Unity and an end to the chaos IS his goal when we spend eternity with Him
-That we would steward this earth (Psalms 8:5-6)
-That we would work unto his glory (Genesis 1:28)
-That all would be a part of His family! and all would come to repentance being saved by his grace
Friends, if what has you discouraged today is not in-line with His agenda then let’s pray: Lord make me acutely aware of your agenda, align my will with yours, and may I have zeal for what you have zeal for
Love,
Mikella
