“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6 ESV)
Corrie Ten Boom, a woman after God’s own heart, risked it all to house Jews during World War 2. Her legacy remains with us today. Throughout her life, she remained faithful to her savior, singing worship songs, even in the midst of the concentration camp. After the war, she left the concentration camp and went on to start a rehabilitation center. Sadly though, her sister, Betsi died in the concentration camp. Betsi’s last words in the camp were recorded as, “There is no pit so deep that He (God) is not deeper still.”
Oh, to be so convicted of God’s faithfulness and love! What an amazing testimony. Even while she encountered death, Betsi stood firm in her Father’s character.
In Hebrews 11, we are reminded of so many who were Faithful to their Savior. Consider your own life and remember his faithfulness to you. Meditate on those that have come before you, and those listed in Hebrews 11. They ALL stood on the solid promises of God. They stood on his character.
When I waiver so quickly in my Faith, I am reminded of their testimonies, “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful”(Hebrews 10:23).
As you seek him daily, remember this, “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6 ESV) God promises that He REWARDS those who seek Him. Keep persevering through the journey that you are on and remember the ancients in the bible.
As he was faithful to Abraham, Sarah, Noah, and so many others, he will be faithful to you, “For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations” (Psalm 100:5).
Read only parts of the stories in Hebrews 11, and you will see: Joseph in a dungeon, and Moses in exile. Yet, the story doesn’t end there. Joseph becomes the ruler of Egypt, and God granted Moses a view of the promised land.
To maintain perspective, we must view everything in season. Seasons change, but God remains faithful throughout.
