Psalm 63:1
You, God, are my God,
earnestly I seek you;
I thirst for you,
my whole being longs for you,
in a dry and parched land,
where there is no water
Have you ever felt like you are in a lonely season? Every day, you look towards God to take you out of the situation you are in. I think we’ve all been there. Searching for God in the darkest of circumstances. Seeking him in the dry and parched land. You long for him to take away your circumstances. To fix whatever you are going through, without having to be in the desert another day.
Yet, God says wait and be patient. In the desert he is preparing us. Seek him and find fulfillment in him ALONE. You will not be thirsty. Paul was one of the greatest apostles, but before God put him into a season of leadership and fruitful service, he brought him to Damascus, and Arabia(Desert). There Paul sought God.
Those three years were filled with quiet study, prayer, and meditation. It was the preparation before the GREAT ministry. Galatians 1:15 “But when God, who set me apart from my mothers womb and called me by his grace, was pleased 16 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being. 17 I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus.”
Take delight in the waiting. Not only does God promise that he will answer and meet your needs. He will reveal spiritual truths in an intimate way that cannot be found on the mountaintops of life but only in the desert. Lastly, you will not be there forever! He promises us in Isaiah 41:18 “I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.”

So excited for you!!! I’ve been loving your writings! Absolutely a God given gift!! I’m glad I can be a part of it!:)
Thanks SO much Diane! That means the world! 🙂 It’s been a little bit of a scary venture, even though I feel called to it!
