“6 Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel 7 As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near. 8 Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.” (Mathew 10: 6-7)
Jesus was always about the people. His mission was simple: redeem the people. When you’re tempted to believe the lie that you’re missing out, remember this; his main mission was always YOU and I. He sent out his twelve disciples to meet the needs of the people, and to proclaim that the Kingdom is at hand. It was never his secondary mission, it was never an interruption from his primary work, it was his work.
When you’re ministering to the needs of others, taking care of the elderly, visiting your sick friend, or loving on your neighbor… you are carrying out his mission. Let’s be intentional with that mission. How can I meet someone’s needs today? How can I make people my priority?
